- Uncompressed, highest quality
- Best for professional use, mastering, further editing
- Larger file size
- 44.1kHz/16-bit or 48kHz/24-bit options
MP3
- Compressed, smaller files
- Good for sharing, streaming, casual listening
- 320kbps for best MP3 quality
- 128kbps for smaller files
OGG
- Open format, good compression
- Similar quality to MP3 at smaller sizes
- Good for web and games

What to Export
Full Mix
The complete project, all tracks combined:
- Master output with all effects
- Ready for listening or distribution
- This is the default export mode
Individual Tracks (Stems)
Export each track as a separate file:
- Useful for collaboration
- Allows remixing by others
- Good for sending to a mixing engineer
- Each track exports as its own audio file
Selection Only
Export just the selected region:
- Select a range on the timeline first
- Only that portion exports
- Good for exporting loops or sections
Export Range
Control what portion of the project exports:
- Entire project — From start to the last audio
- Selection — Just the highlighted region
- Loop range — What's inside the loop markers
- Custom — Specify start and end times
Export Tips
Before Exporting
- Check levels — Make sure nothing is clipping (red on the meter)
- Listen through — Play the whole track to catch any issues
- Leave headroom — Keep the master under 0 dB for safety
For Streaming Services
- Export WAV 16-bit/44.1kHz
- Services like Spotify convert it themselves
- They prefer uncompressed source files
For Social Media
- MP3 320kbps works well
- Consider shorter exports (30-60 second previews)
- Make sure the best part is near the beginning
Naming Your Export
Good file naming helps you stay organized:
- Include the song name
- Add a version number (v1, v2, etc.)
- Include the date if you make many versions
- Example: "Summer Beat v3 Final.wav"

Troubleshooting
Export Is Silent
- Check that tracks aren't muted
- Make sure clips exist in the export range
- Check the master volume
